Everything started in 2021 during pandemic. With additional time on his hands, a friend in France suggested that he look into a Truffière in the US. That began the wheels to turn. The actual preliminary planning for the farm began in early 2022.

He then began researching the area that were best for growing Truffles, and the Pacific Northwest came up over and over in his research. He then began to do research into the possibilities of starting a smaller growing operation. Beginning in September of 2022 we aligned ourselves with Dr John Holliday of Mushroom Consulting LLC to consult with growing gourmet mushrooms. Upon Dr. Holliday's. With the growing emphasis on the Truffière on both the East and West coast we sought the assistance of Dr. Aziz Turkoglu of Alpine Truffles in the State of Washington. With the knowledge of these two leading experts in the mushroom & fungal farming industry we began to look for the exact best location.

In the planning stage with Dr Omon, he suggested we look at the Truffle - tuber caniliculatum (commonly known as Appalachian Truffle, Michigan Truffle, and/or Yellow furrowed truffle). During our research into the burgeoning "T Can" we were able to align with Appalachian Truffles to expand our search to the East Coast as well as the Pacific Northwest.
